I'm a little late getting this posted (after I expressed my immense excitement last week about its release), but watch and be amazed at the talent and beauty of my friend Monica Allison.

can't wait till wednesday!

Want to know why?

Ok, I'll tell you. Last June, I was involved in a project with my friend Monica Allison who's an extremely talented singer & songwriter. She has this amazing album called You Can't Take It Back (which happens to also be her return policy, she says) and she made a music video for one of the songs on this album, Small Town.

In 40 seconds when you're done watching this sneak peek video, you'll know as much as I do about what the final product will look like—because the real deal won't be released until Wednesday.

I'm so excited to see it, I can barely stand it. Waiting with baited breath now...

Sneak Peek of Small Town Shoot shenanigans. Official Music Video out Wednesday, April 23rd 2014! Get the song on iTunes: https://itunes.apple.com/us/album/you-cant-take-it-back/id420706316

taylor swift's photo

If you follow Taylor Swift on twitter (who doesn't, right?), you may have seen this picture in a tweet from her on Saturday night.

This is a photo from her concert at MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, New Jersey.

I—along with 55,000 other teenyboppers—was there!!! It was a wonderfully entertaining time, and I have more pictures to share. But thanks to TSwift for kindly letting me use her photo for now.

pumpcast news

There is something so inspiring about watching people do what they love—completely uninhibited.

Jack Rafferty surprises this musical couple at the gas pump!

...so much so, that I just choked up a little watching these people interviewed on the Today Show.

Gah, I've gotta get a grip. But just watch for yourself....

ordinary day

This is my friend Melanie Penn and her new music video, Ordinary Day! She is super talented and super cute in this video...and all of the time, really. (I can't stop watching it!) You should buy her album, Wake Up Love, on Amazon or iTunes. You won't be disappointed!

autotune the oscars

I thought I couldn't love Autotune the News, aka The Gregory Brothers, any more than I already did...then I saw this piece they did for the Oscars last night! And 3 out of the 4 clips are from movies I love, to make it even better. I could watch for hours...enjoy!

an Idol to support?

If you're into American Idol this season or ever have been, you should check out former Auburn student Paul McDonald who made it through J.Lo, Steven Tyler and Randy-dawg last week with flying colors. His sister and I were in the same sorority, and we had the privilege of having Paul (who was quite the local celebrity on campus during my term at Auburn, for obvious reasons) play at some of our charity events. He is the lead singer for a group called The Grand Magnolias (formerly Hightide Blues) and is now making his way in Hollywood!

He's got my vote! But, apparently, he's not lacking in support...

straight no chaser

If you've followed this blog for a while, you may remember me praising this a cappella group called Straight No Chaser from Indiana University back in 2008?
Well, my dream finally came true. I went to their concert in NYC on Tuesday night! Their YouTube video, 12 Days of Christmas, went viral right before Christmas during my senior year of college. I remember one of my interior design professors sending out a blast email with the link to this video during final projects & exams. It's a good thing she did that because watching this video over and over...and over is about the only thing that got me through the end of that semester. (Remember those days, Rose Lynn?!)

Luckily for me, I was able to watch in complete relaxation on Tuesday night. And they were terrific!!! This was my favorite song from the night, I'm Yours/Somewhere Over the Rainbow:
